9 mos!

9 Month Stats:

Weight: 22 lbs. (95th percentile!)
Height: 28 in (65%)

Yes, we got ourselves a big ole healthy baby girl!  Whew!  No wonder I've been having so much back pain!  ;)  With every passing month, Georgia gets so much 'older' if you  know what I mean.  I feel like I'm starting to see the 'baby' leaving her slowly, but surely.  I find myself talking to her all the time like she would know what I'm saying... and, sometimes, I think she does!  She still can't talk yet, but I feel like she should!  haha.  I can't wait until the day we start conversing in both directions!!!  I know she will have PLENTY to say! ;)

Sleep-- still a nighttime rockstar in this area! Sleeps 6/7pm-6am like clockwork!  I feel so blessed to be well rested.  The time change (fall back) caused our schedule to go from 7am to 6am, which saddens me, but it gets me up and going and you know the saying about early to bed and early to rise...makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise!

Food-- the kid's 22 lbs, what more do I need to say?!  She eats pretty much everything and Mama Bear (me!) has to portion all her food properly and firmly cut her off when she's had enough, even if she is none too pleased!

Play-- She is trying to stand on her own now.  She'll pull up and stand at the coffee table or her music table and then just let go and stand there all on her own.  She does it all the time now and has really increased her time!  She hasn't tried to take any steps while standing there, but she walks circles around her music table and coffee table all day long (while still holding on).  I think walking isn't too far away, but her preferred mode of transportation is still crawling!  She's quite fast and is just a little monkey pulling up on everything and exploring.  She loves music and bobs along with it while she stands-- so cute!  Her favorite activity is pulling all the dvds off the shelf and then sitting and chewing on them.  While in Dallas at the beginning of the month, she learned how to do 'peek a boo' with her burp cloth!  We place it on her lap and she'll grab it with both hands, pull it up over her face and after we say 'Where's Georgia?!?', she pulls it back down with a big grin and we all cheer and say 'There she is!!!'  SO cute!

She also likes to cluck with her mouth (my mom taught her that!)  She is talking up a storm, but really 'Dada' is the only discernible word thus far.  We have our own little language of grunts, coos, and expressions of delight and talk back and forth in this manner! She is UBER expressive and I love it!!  She likes to flirt!  She is starting to understand the word 'no'.  Though her two reactions are opposite-- she either laughs at me or starts to fuss.  Ugh!  We are working on it!!  :)

She shows lots of determination and stubborness at times, which should get interesting...  She is pretty independent and likes to play on her own at times.  She loves other babies and children and even smiles at pictures of other babies!

She is wearing 18  mos clothing.

Ok, that's my quick 9 mos wrap up!  Next month, DOUBLE DIGITS!
