My First Mother's Day!

This past Sunday I was blessed to celebrate my first Mother's Day as a Mother! We attended First Baptist Church Houston-- our home church. It was Georgia's first time at this church, second overall (see Easter). This time she only made it halfway through the service, so Daddy was gracious enough to take her outside and Mommy enjoyed the rest of the service...solo:(. She fell asleep as soon as Daddy swung her a few times in her car seat, but he didn't want to disturb the Pastor's message by walking back in.

At the beginning of the service, Pastor Gregg had all the mothers stand up and I got to stand!!! It was definitely one of my prouder moments in life. :) Several fellow mommy friends of mine were also there sitting around us and we got to look at each other and giggle with delight. A very fun moment for me! We loved seeing our church friends. I was severely missing praise and worship and Pastor Gregg Matte's wise messages, so it felt good to be back! We really do plan to take Georgia to the church nursery, but she does not take a bottle very well these days and I just am not fully ready to drop her off there until she takes one more easily. We'll see! I know I will relent soon. I may just wait until we find our new church home in Birmingham!

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers in our lives!!!!!!!!
