First, we surprised James' parents at Saltgrass Steakhouse where they were eating lunch for Father's Day. We pretended to have driven all that way just to wish them a happy Father's Day (not that we wouldn't do that anyway...), but upon his dad reading the card the jig was up!
We then drove over to my parent's house in Coppell (where my sister also met us to catch the reaction) and we also surprised them and fooled them with the Father's Day card trick.
In the cards to each of our fathers we wrote something to the effect of "you are a wonderful father and will make an even better GRANDFATHER!" It was so fun to watch each father's reaction as disbelief, shock, and then little tears sprung to their eyes! Such an amazing moment!!!!
I don't know if we'll ever be able to pull off such a true surprise ever again!
