It's been a busy couple weeks since my last 'Thankful Thursday" post. We celebrated James' 27th birthday on the 26th, his graduation from medical school the next day, moved to Alabama on the 30th and left for a 7 day family vacation on June 5th! Whew! I'm exhausted just typing it out! I have so so much for which to be thankful that I hardly know where to start...
Here are a few of the bigger ones:
I am thankful for...
1. A remarkably easy move-- with much credit going to my parents, sister and bro in law, Daniel and Lauren Zainfeld, and Dave Warren who helped us load up our 26 foot Uhaul (which I swore was TOO big, but was actually JUST right! wowzers). As well as, my little bro, Billiam who helped us pack up then DROVE GK and me to BHam and helped James UNLOAD in the record heat up a flight of stairs! Georgia did great during the drive and it was really much less of a hassle than I thought it would be.
2. Our beautiful new apartment! My wonderful husband (see previous TT) found us the perfect apt in just one weekend in Bham! It is much larger than our last place and is just so clean and perfect! The complex itself is flanked by a large lake and untouched forest making you feel like you are staying at your vacation home! It is quite a change from the concrete jungle we used to look out on! I'll have to post a picture when I get back (we are still on vacation in GA).
3. Family vacations! I am really enjoying the relaxation and quality time with our family, especially for Georgia to spend quality time with everyone. She has been a perfect angel 90% of the trip! Laughing and smiling all day, letting everyone hold and love on her, and being a trooper for all our little adventures in the mountains. Unfortunately, it's been too hot (with record heat here) for her to really hike much with us, which is such a bummer! But, when it gets into fall weather back in BHam, we'll take her out for plenty of hikes. I can tell she will be a great lover of the outdoors!
That's a snippet of our thankfulness this week!
